SOUL PICNIC FAQ's

Soul Picnic NC 2024 aims to continue the memorable experience we all enjoyed in 2023. Below is a list of important information with helpful details to prepare you for the day.

About This Event

Dynasty5 presents The Soul Picnic NC 2024. Join us at Flowers Field at Dorothea Dix Park on June 22, 2024 for North Carolina’s #1 Outdoor Day Party

Gates open at 12:00 pm – Decorate your area.

Entertainment begins at 3:00 pm.

The official lawn party welcomes you with special guest DJs, live music, wine, food trucks, vendors, games and more! Early arrival is encouraged to decorate your VIP table or solidify your general admission space. Food, Beer & Wine are permitted along with soft coolers. Bring your blankets and tailgating chairs.

No hard coolers will be allowed inside Flowers Field.
No Liquor permitted.

This event is open to adults age 21 and older. Minors are not allowed.

A parking fee of $5.00 is included in the price of the ticket.

No pets are allowed.

Entertainment

Live Bands, National recording Artists, renowned DJs, with a mix of R&B, Hip Hop, Jazz and all around feel good music.

Food Trucks

We can’t have you come to a cookout and not have food! Some of your favorite food vendors are back and we are adding more! We are working to provide an array of food options to satisfy almost all dietary desires. Be prepared to enjoy some of the tastiest food NC and surrounding areas have to offer.

COVERED CABANAS:

The ultimate hang out and cool off area area with an HBCU Homecoming vibe. Curated by Soul Picnic! 10’x10′ cabanas are available to purchase. Each cabana comes with 6 tickets for entry, 6 chairs, table and table linen. Get your friends together to “Beat the Heat” by purchasing a cabana and creating your own personal Soul Picnic Oasis.

Vendors

Visit our vendor partners to support local businesses with quality products and services. From the hottest graphic tees, to cigars, to health & beauty care; we’ve got you covered! Some of last year’s favorites along with new vendor partners will be there and ready to serve you!

Vendor opportunities: Please visit dynasty5.com to locate the online Vendor Application or waitlist. Please be aware that there will be cutoff deadlines for applications, so be sure to apply early! Follow us on Instagram to stay up to date.

THE VENDOR APPLICATION PERIOD HAS ENDED.

WRISTBAND PICK-UP:

All tickets may be redeemed via early Will Call. A confirmation email containing an e-ticket will be sent after each ticket purchase from Eventbrite. We urge taking advantage of early will-call pickup to expedite your entry into the Soul Picnic. Be on the lookout for more information regarding Early Will Call dates, times, and locations.

PARKING:

Gates open at 12:00 pm. A parking fee of $5.00 is included in each ticket price. There is parking available on-site but parking is spread out over the Dorothea Dix Campus. Early Arrival and ride share are strongly encouraged.

RIDE SHARE:

Because parking on Dorothea Dix Campus is so spread, we are strongly encouraging ride share services such as carpooling, Lyft and Uber.

The Hookup

Bring your own special picnic. Prepared food, beer & wine will be allowed in your picnic basket or soft coolers. Hard coolers will not be allowed inside Flowers Field. All baskets are subject to search to ensure we adhere to this rule. Soul Picnic will have an array of wine and beer options available for purchase.

TENT CITY - BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND

Your Tent City Experience at The Soul Picnic: You Asked, We Listened!

That’s right – you’re invited to bring your own tents to create your own cozy retreat at The Soul Picnic! Whether you’re seeking shade, a chill spot with friends, or simply a break from the sun, your tent will be your home base.

Here are the essential guidelines to ensure everyone’s enjoyment:

All tents will need to be set up by 3pm. There will be no tents allowed after 3pm
Designated Areas: Set up your tent only in designated zones to ensure safety and fun for all.
Weighted Tents: For security, tents must be weighted; no spikes are allowed under any circumstances.
Size Limit: Tents cannot exceed 10 x 10 in size.
First-Come, First-Serve: Space in Tent City is available on a first-come, first-serve basis within designated areas.
Parking Considerations: Parking at Dorothea Dix Campus may require a long walk with your tent. Shuttles may be available, but not guaranteed.
Mindful Space: Be considerate of your tent’s footprint and respect fellow festival-goers’ areas. Due to Tent City’s popularity, some areas may have obstructed views of the stage.
View Consideration: While creativity is encouraged, please avoid obstructing views or causing inconvenience.

***TENT RENTALS: Prefer hassle-free setup? Rent a tent with your ticket purchase for a potentially better view. However, clear visibility of the stage cannot be guaranteed.

RESERVED TABLES:

All reserved table seating qualifies to enter our ‘Decorate Your Table’ contest for a chance to win prizes. These premium seatings are limited to the chairs provided in your reservation. No tailgating chairs will be allowed in the VIP seating area. If you reserve uncovered seating, you will not be permitted to put any additional covering. We want to ensure the views remain open to allow everyone to enjoy their premium experience.

The Lawn

Didn’t reserve a VIP Tent, Reserved section or Table? No worries! You can lay out your blankets or bring your lawn chairs to enjoy the open space that Flowers Field provides.
